Sky-Vu Flyers, Inc.
is dedicated to providing
safe, affordable flying fun to its members. Our club is one of the oldest,
continuously-operating, not-for-profit flying organizations in the state of
Indiana. Incorporated in 1956, Sky-Vu Flyers has grown to 60 owner-members and
four Cessna airplanes today.
Our Airplanes
are
hangared year-round at two of the Indianapolis
area's most conveniently located airports - Indianapolis Metro (UMP)
and Eagle Creek (EYE) Airports. All airplanes are equipped with
Tanis heaters to assist with cold-weather starts during the winter months.
Safety is
Key to Our Success As a result, all Sky-Vu members are responsible for helping to maintain
our airplanes in safe operating condition. We count on our members to
promptly and responsibly report any maintenance issues to the
appropriate maintenance officers. Our maintenance officers make sure
that the airplanes receive regular and unscheduled maintenance as
required.

All
Sky-Vu aircraft and members are covered by insurance purchased by the
club. Insurance coverage includes a $1,000 deductible, full
hull-replacement coverage and up to $1,000,000 of liability coverage per
accident.

We're upgrading our fleet!
In May of 2004,
Sky-Vu Flyers began implementation of a long-term plan to "modernize" our
fleet. Our plan is to trade for new or
almost new airplanes every three to four years. That first step was
accomplished with the addition of our 2000 Cessna 182 in the fall of 2004.
In addition, a plan was made to upgrade the avionics in our remaining
airplanes.
